Job Summary:

The Health Promotion Specialist is responsible for driving education, participation and sustained engagement across the client population in the well-being improvement program. They work closely with the Senior Health Promotion Specialist, Sharecare Account Manager and onsite Wellness Director and the client's Plan Administration team to engage Plan participants and their families for the purpose of inspiring sustained program participation and behavior change.

Essential Job Functions:

• Understand plan participant needs, and contract obligations, and assist in the development of a program plan that includes the scheduling of programming, well-being assessments, well-being improvement activities and events that support the areas of greatest well-being need.  
• Partner and interact with client Plan Administrators, HR Representatives, Employer Representatives, and other onsite personnel to ensure customer satisfaction and provide additional client reporting and education. 
• Host health educational training and learning activities. 
• Support benefit and health fairs and be responsible for supporting and promoting personal health risk telephonic coaching, online coaching, RealAge Test and biometric screening events.    
• Work direction will be provided primarily by the Senior Health Promotion Specialist and Account Manager responsible for the client's program. 

Specific Skills/ Attributes:

• Strong understanding of health behavior change theory.
• Ability to engage and motivate groups and individuals.
• Strong program planning and marketing skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to manage multi-site wellness campaigns.
• Ability to influence worksite culture of well-being.

Qualifications:

• Licensed Registered Dietitian or Certified Diabetes Educator preferred.
• Special interest in physical fitness, with teaching certifications preferred.
• Two years minimum client facing experience in health and wellness promotions. 
• One-on-one coaching/education experience.
