Job Description
  • Contributing knowledge and expertise in the social sciences (e.g., experimental social psychology, sociology) for various research efforts.
  • Conduct health policy research and background research to understand the policy context relevant to conducting qualitative and quantitative analyses
  • Collaborate with team leads to develop and implement methods to monitor the effectiveness of processes, protocols, and procedures
  • Serve as client contact for funded projects specific to financial, actuarial and cost analyses
  • Directing the design, execution, and interpretation of research across a variety of quantitative and qualitative methodologies.
  • Writing and leading assigned technical proposals for government clients.
  • Lead research, capture and business development efforts to expand footprint with government agencies.
  • Serve as the technical lead for assigned proposals and grant applications
  • Providing economic expertise to drive health-related growth in federal and state government.
  • Meet with prospective clients and partners to help shape future growth and opportunities.
  • Building new relationships with federal and state agencies, business partners and universities to support current and future work.
  • Leading research and capture efforts specific to healthcare payment and policy opportunities.
  • Provide subject matter expertise about health care delivery, innovative payment models, research design and implementation, data analyses, and communicating findings to clients.
  • Leading assigned funded projects, defining staffing needs, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Participate in standing strategy, capture and business development meetings
  • Developing payment and policy white papers and blog articles and presenting research findings to a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to expand external visibility through venues such as technical expert panel or committee/workgroup participation, publications, presentations and white papers
  • Masters Degree required, PhD preferred, in Economics, Public Policy, or related Social Science field
  • Demonstrated experience leading research, development and implementation of value-based care (or related) evaluation and cost-modelling approaches.
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare-related economics, analytics and statistical research.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead/oversee a project delivery team in areas of national qualitative and quantitative analyses and risk adjustment using advanced statistical methods
  • Experience in mixed-mode analytics using standard software packages (e.g., SAS, SPSS, R, NVivo, PowerBI, Tableau)
  • Demonstrated experience publishing manuscripts through the peer-review process and/or publishing in peer-review journals
  • Experience writing and leading technical proposals for government clients.
