Outpatient Services at 1440 N Dayton



The Health Education Facilitator will provide direct health education services as part of the for Chicago’s Partnerships & Opportunities for Adolescent Health Preparation, Support and Services (POPSS). This position will support scheduling and facilitate FLASH sexual health education for high schools, residential facilities, and parent/caregivers The role will also support collaboration with community partners including the POPSS coalition. Position includes updating and maintenance of materials and reporting.


Essential Job Functions:


  • Other job duties as assigned.
  • Complete scheduling and staffing as needed for POPSS.
  • Support evaluations and data management for health education programs.
  • Collaborate with Manager, POPSS to access trainings and stay up to date on current practices.
  • Work with education and communications team on materials for social media and website related to sexuality education.
  • Work with education and evaluation team to continue to improve systems for education delivery of education and education evaluations.
  • Provide direct teaching of health education in a variety of settings.
  • Maintain records of educational events and project deliverables.
  • Train/deliver FLASH curriculum with fidelity in settings for POPSS.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Bachelor’s Degree or three or more years' experience with sexual education facilitation and sexual health promotion required.
  • Organizational skills: Experience independently planning and facilitating education; excellent attention to detail; ability to establish priorities and react promptly to a large variety of requests and needs, sometimes on short notice.
  • Strong commitment to youth inclusion, specifically regarding LGBTQIA and racial equity in educational settings.
  • Spanish and English facilitation experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate about program with both experts and nonexperts.
  • Commitment to serve and embrace community driven processes.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills required.
