2+ years of related experience: $ 22.02 - $ 28.02/hr

Davis County Senior Services is currently hiring for a full-time Community Health Educator in Clearfield, Utah. Senior Service's mission is to promote and protect the health and well-being of Davis County residents and their environment. This position trains, certifies, implements, and evaluates health promotion programs designed to assist older adults maintain a healthy and safe environment.

Requirements

• Preference for experience teaching evidence based educational or fitness classes.
• Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Health Promotion, Health Education, Community or Public Health Education.
• Preference for employment experience working with older adults or older adult programs or services ie. Medicaid/Medicare benefits, falls prevention, malnutrition, etc.
• Preference for fluency in Spanish and English (fluency defined as proficiency level in both languages as evidenced by the ability to verbally interpret from English to Spanish and from Spanish to English, as well as the ability to translate written documents from English to Spanish and from Spanish to English).

Day to Day Duties

• Tracks and manages participant and program data and reporting.
• Develops a scope and sequence plan for a health education program.
• Communicates programmatic needs and recommends future program planning direction.
• Recruits community partners and volunteers.
• Provides educational and wellness classes to older adults and ensures fidelity of programs.
• Partners with community organizations, people, and potential participants for support and assistance in program planning.
• Interprets results of program evaluations and determines future program planning.
