Job Description
This role is a 9 month project hire.


The Health Data Analyst will serve as the primary liaison between the Disney Cruise Line (DCL) shipboard and shoreside medical teams and the electronic medical records vendor (EMR). They will also be responsible for gathering data from multiple sources, but primarily the Disney Cruise Line EMR (Seacare) and analyze the data for trends and opportunities. The analyst will work with the Health Services Systems and Metrics manager to revise and maintain the EMR application on current and future ships and shore locations. They will also be responsible for helping the shoreside DCL health services team update protocols and practices in the relevant systems of record – SMS, Seacare, etc.


Responsibilities
  • Management of training materials
  • Maintain policies and practices up to date in relevant systems of record.
  • Analyze data from various sources using statistical models
  • Establish positive relationships with other cast and crew members and stakeholders.
  • Complete Daily, Weekly, and Quarterly system audits/reporting.
  • Review current scientific literature.
  • Create reporting and financial models.
  • Produce visuals to effectively communicate findings to business leaders.
  • Provide contribution to health programs by participating in program planning, monitoring program progress, and doing data analysis.
  • Ensure continuous improvement on all projects through innovation, and meeting timelines and benchmarks.
  • Use computer modeling techniques to assess the potential impact of disease and health changes in a given population.
  • Participate in broad-scale interdisciplinary projects over extended timeframes.
  • Perform the collection and analysis of data, by using relevant data analytic tools, interviews, and surveys.
  • Conduct research to develop methodologies, instrumentation and procedures for study design, analyzing data and presenting findings.
  • Serve as the primary business analyst for DCL electronic medical record system (Seacare):
  • Contribute to the planning of detailed studies of population health issues to discover ways to prevent them and evaluate effectiveness of interventions.
  • Application governance with oversight of all operating guidelines
  • User account management


Basic Qualifications


  • Ability to work flexibly and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with systems and tools including MS Office (with a focus on Excel and Access)
  • Possess strong analytical skills.
  • Understanding and past experience with electronic medical records.
  • Foundational skills in math and statistics.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Critical thinker and detail oriented.
  • Ability to partner with multiple business areas.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Master’s in data analytics or other relevant discipline
  • Experience with Seacare
  • Experience with analytical and visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power Apps)
