THE ROLE:
We are seeking Head of Live and Experiential, a visionary leader who will play a crucial role in shaping and executing our live event strategies by producing world-class industy and consumer-facing events. This role will be responsible for creating and implementing a live events strategy that creates meaningful brand extensions that engage and immerse consumers with Hartbeat content around the globe, driving revenue stream with contined long term growth potential. This role will leverage Hartbeat IP to help develop new events and in conjunction with the sponsorship team, associated revenue opportunites, and implement best practices to achieve the KPI’s of the brand, sponsors and clients.
This position will be involved with all aspects of event production from ideation through execution including event marketing, sponsorship, content strategy, logistics, talent relations, public relations, P&L management, business development and client servicing. Knowledge and passion for media, comedy, music, entertainment, as well as the technology and marketing tools to deliver successful events and content are essential.
RESPONSIBILITES:
  • Manage P&L for all events and manage all monetization streams including - tickets, sponsorship and merchandise
  • Cultivate relationships with touring comedians, music acts and entertainers to have a staple of talent to feature in Hartbeat festivals, tours and live evenest
  • Work with a variety of partners including event underwriters/promoters (AEG, Live Nation, Resorts World etc.) and strategic partners, (i.e. Advertising Week, Cirque Du Soleil, JFL) to conceive and produce best-in class events
  • Liaise with Hartbeat senior sales and creative leaders on integration of sponsorship opportunities
  • Negotiate hotel and venue deals
  • Lead the development, planning, execution and marketing of live events, including but not limited to stand up Comedy shows, Live Stage Plays, Music Shows and festivals.
  • Handle all aspect of event management and production from budgeting and booking, to routing and reconciliation
  • Work closely with production and studio teams on capture/filming (or audio recording) of any live events that are being promoted or monetized via audio/visual means
  • Ensure event P&Ls and all related activities are executed including, but not limited to, calendar management and event scheduling, contract negotiation, pro-forma creation, marketing, box office, tour production and rider fulfillment, event accounting, show settlements and overall financial reporting.
  • Assemble and lead best in class activation teams (Talent bookers, Site Productions, FOH Operations, BOH Operations, Stage Production, etc.) to produce the highest quality shows, festivals and tours in the industry
  • Proactively meet with top comedic and music live entertainment providers including agents, managers, promoters, event producers, agencies and more to source leads and further cultivate industry relationships
  • Work closely with Hartbeat brand and marketing teams to align experiences and live events with organization's brand and mission
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
  • Demonstrated experience in specific areas of special event production, with experience leading a variety of production and technical vendors, including (but not limited to) scenic, video, lighting, audio, power, heavy equipment and both union and non-union labor
  • Resourceful and solutions oriented self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, who can anticipate and overcome obstacles while still effectively communicating challenges to the wider team, and who can leverage their technical expertise for creative and safe problem solving
  • Love for live performance, comedy, music and art
  • Superior project management skills
  • International touring and activation experience a plus
  • Ability to work nights and weekends when needed
  • Entrepreneurial business and commercial mindset
  • High EQ: You are intuitive and can easily work with and for diverse people with different capabilities and needs, whether they’re colleagues, talent, or audience members
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Experience developing budgets of various sizes up to seven figures without exceeding the bottom line, handling vendor, venue and labor contracts + negotiations and supervising a detailed reconciliation process
  • 10+ years demonstrated experience in experiential, special event, touring, theatrical or other live entertainment production.

Compensation Range: $200K - $300K
