Position Overview:

We are seeking an accomplished and visionary professional to lead our Economic Development Advisory team, specializing in serving government clients, particularly economic development agencies. As the Head of Economic Development Advisory, you will be pivotal in shaping and executing strategies that drive economic growth, attract investments, enhance overall financial health, improve government revenue generation, and bolster prosperity through close collaboration with public sector organizations.

You will also lead efforts to effectively market and sell our economic development advisory services to potential government clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advisory Services: Provide expert advisory services to government clients, offering data-driven insights, policy recommendations, and best practices to support their economic development objectives.
• Investment Promotion: Implement strategies to attract domestic and foreign investments, leveraging government resources and incentives to drive economic growth and revenue generation.
• Capacity Building: Work collaboratively with government clients to enhance their internal capabilities in economic development planning, execution, revenue management, and assessment.
• Government Collaborations: Forge strong relationships with economic development agencies, local, regional, national, and multinational governments and organizations, and peripheral public sector stakeholders to understand their priorities, align strategies, and co-create impactful initiatives.
• Project Oversight: Manage the execution of economic development projects for government clients, ensuring successful delivery, adherence to budgets, and alignment with agency goals.
• Sales and Marketing: Lead efforts to effectively market and sell our economic development advisory services to potential government clients, showcasing our expertise and value proposition.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Strong commitment to public service, economic development, and the betterment of communities.
• Deep understanding of economic theories, policy frameworks, revenue generation strategies, and financial health improvement measures.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in economic development, policy advisory, or related roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position focused on serving government clients.
• Demonstrated experience in policy advocacy, presenting to government officials, and influencing policy decisions.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to guide and motivate professionals in a government-focused context.
• Proficient in data analysis, project management tools, and policy analysis software.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation abilities, necessary for effective collaboration with diverse government stakeholders.
• Proven track record of working with economic development agencies, local governments, or related public sector entities to drive impactful initiatives focused on economic development.
