Job Description

ABOUT US:

Our client is a premiere real estate developer and investment firm based that is looking to bring on a Head of Acquisitions in a newly-created role given a number of new developments in their portfolio. You will work directly with the managing partner as they are looking for a true right hand as the organization continues to grow!!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Stay up-to-date with market trends, economic indicators, and industry developments to identify emerging opportunities and mitigate potential risks. Conduct market research and analysis to inform investment decisions.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including brokers, property owners, investors, and industry professionals. Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including legal, finance, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of acquisitions.
  • Develop and implement the overall investment strategy, including target markets, asset classes, and investment criteria, aligned with the company's growth objectives.
  • Lead and oversee the due diligence process for potential acquisitions, including reviewing legal documents, financial statements, property inspections, and environmental reports. Identify and assess risks, opportunities, and potential deal-breakers.
  • Collaborate with asset management teams to monitor and optimize the performance of acquired properties, including analyzing market trends, identifying value-add opportunities, and implementing asset strategies.
  • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, feasibility studies, and risk assessments for potential acquisitions, including detailed cash flow projections, ROI analysis, and sensitivity modeling.
  • Prepare and present investment opportunities, financial analysis, due diligence findings, and recommendations to senior management and investment committees.
  • Proactively identify and source potential real estate investment opportunities through various channels, including brokers, industry contacts, market research, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of analysts and associates. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture, setting clear goals, and providing guidance to drive professional growth and success.
  • Negotiate and structure deals with sellers, brokers, and other parties involved in the transaction process. Optimize deal terms, pricing, and contract conditions to maximize value and minimize risk.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency in financial modeling software and tools (e.g., Excel, ARGUS, etc.).
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent research capabilities with the ability to gather and analyze market data, industry trends, and financial information.
  • 6-10 years experience working in commercial and multifamily real estate required.
  • Knowledge of local real estate markets and regulations is a plus.
