Head Nurse (Rn/Bsn)

New York Cancer and Blood Specialists (NYCBS), a prominent and respected Oncology/Hematology group, is seeking a Head Nurse (RN/BSN) to join a well-established and growing pure sub-specialty practice with academic affiliation. Practice manages a freestanding outpatient 7-day per week Cancer Center with extensive chemotherapy administration, Radiation Oncology, Pharmacy and Research department.

In this role you will:

Managing all aspects of nursing responsibilities during each shift. Including and not limited to, assigning patient assignments, medication orders, training of new hires and management of a safe environment for staff and patient’s alike with focus on providing efficient, timely and knowledgeable care while ensuring patient satisfaction in every interaction. The Head Nurse is responsible for making sure those values are reflected in his or her staff at all times.

We require:

• Attendance to all mandatory nursing meetings.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred (current enrollment in BSN program required)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills with patients, staff and other health care professionals.
• High level of familiarity with NYCBS policies and procedures.
• Proficiency in ONCOemr.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Current NYS RN license required.
• Excellent leadership skills
• Full time position
• Must demonstrate consistent professional conduct and meticulous attention to detail.
• 2 years minimum Experience as an RN in an Oncology setting.

Salary up to $115,000/annually.
