Position Summary


Manage financial responsibilities, seasonal sets and the ordering process for the HCC section of the Food department. Role model and demonstrate the Company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of self and others.


Fred Meyer also requires that all associates perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws.


Essential Job Functions


  • Process callbacks
  • Maintain compliance with corporate policies, divisional signing, recovery, planograms, merchandising standards, and shrink control guidelines
  • Receive and process freight
  • Model "Customer 1st" behavior; deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer service
  • Perform inventory control functions, as required
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships, if applicable
  • Monitor overstock/understock conditions
  • Build displays to plans
  • Sell merchandise to customers
  • Verify accuracy on price changes
  • Promote and follow Company initiatives
  • Coordinate merchandising of the section
  • Prepare for physical inventory, as directed
  • Verify ads and promotions are set to standard
  • Process mail
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
  • All store management work with associates to manage all common associate areas (i.e. break rooms and training areas) to make sure they are inviting in appearance and reflect "Our People Are Great"
  • Process E-40 Transfers
  • Respond to verbal customer comments/complaints
Minimum Position Qualifications:


  • Ability to pass drug test
  • Ability to work weekends on a regular basis and overtime as needed
  • Ability to organize/prioritize tasks/projects
  • Familiarity with industry/technical terms/processes
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Any licenses or certificates required by federal and/or state
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus a minimum of six months Fred Meyer experience and one-two years related retail experience; or combination of relevant education and experience.
  • Ability to travel independently on an occasional basis
  • Ability to work within set time frames/fixed deadlines
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Valid driver's license
  • Accuracy/attention to detail
  • Maintain confidentiality
Desired Previous Job Experience:


  • Ability to operate the following special equipment, machinery, and/or special tools: Telzon, Shelf Price Audit (SPA) unit
  • This Knowledge of Fred Meyer policies, procedures, and organizational structure
  • Second language


The final rate of pay is determined at store level based on prior equivalent work experience.
