Hands-On Platform Operations Manager

This company local to the Greater Philly region is a payments PaaS company that has been expanding at a rapid pace. Their continued growth has them looking for a Hands-on Platform Operations Manager to lead a team of 6-10 and focus on a combination of Devops, SRE, and Reliability. Ideal candidate will come from a 24/7 environment, have experience processing large amounts of data (preferably compliance), and has had to ensure uptime, fast delivery/optimization and reliability of systems, specifically with a colocation datacenter/infrastructure. This is a full-time and remote opportunity for the right fit!

They service most industries from Retail to E-commerce, to Gaming and more. They provide robust solutions across payments, security, identity, and data analytics with their rapid API adoption that is encrypted to deliver high speed and secure transactions.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven track record in budget management, financial forecasting, and procurement processes.
• Previous experience running and managing a small team of engineers with a proven track record of success
• Experience working in a Windows/.NET/C# application environment
• Exceptional leadership abilities, fostering collaboration and effective communication within cross-functional teams.
• Relevant Certifications in cloud technologies, security, industry compliance, etc would be an advantage
• Extensive experience in managing cloud-based infrastructure and services, with a specific focus on Platform as a Service (PaaS).
• Advanced knowledge of cloud and DevOps technologies, such as Azure, Azure DevOps, Terraform, Kubernetes, and others.
• Payment industry experience would be a big advantage.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Liaison with the development teams for effective communication and deployments of the platform
• Ensuring the scalability of the platform to meet company performance goals and growing end users
• Overseeing a team responsible for managing the platform's infrastructure, including DevOps engineers, database administrators, and security specialists.
• Run reports on the application's performance metrics to ensure high availability and up-time
• Manage vendor relationships with infrastructure and service providers
• Implementing robust security measures, data recovery protocols, and backup strategies for the platform.
