Job Description

Summary


Monitor production processes of the facility to ensure all products meet company quality and food safety requirements during plant operations to ensure compliance with all company, regulatory and Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standards.


Work Schedule: Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays 10am-EOS


Wage: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

$3,000 Retention Payout:


  • $1,200 @ 6 months
  • $600 @ 60 days
  • $600 @ 90 days
  • $600 @ 30 days


Principal And Essential Duties & Responsibilities


  • Inspect equipment for cleanliness and proper working condition prior to start up and record findings.
  • Perform and accurately record quality checks on product and regulatory checks as specified within company programs and USDA regulations.
  • Accurately conduct product reviews for compliance to include grading, packaging, and weights.
  • Monitor associates' work practices and address any deficiencies noticed immediately while continually evaluating potential for foreign material contamination while in assigned work areas.
  • Perform digital data entry, digital and paper record review per quality specifications.
  • Ensure product meets internal and customer specifications and take appropriate actions when a non-compliance is noted.


Minimum Education


High school or equivalent preferred


Experience Requirements


  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Basic math skills
  • Experience in food quality and/or food safety preferred
  • 0 -2 years of work experience
  • Good oral and written communication skills


Environmental Factors And Physical Requirements


When in a plant environment:


  • Humidity (0-100%)
  • Work may include lifting up to 50 lbs., reaching, bending, pushing boxes on conveyor assembly
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures (28-100 Degrees Fahrenheit)
  • Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company
  • Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces
  • May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit
  • May be exposed to dust, feathers, and all chemicals used in poultry processing facility
  • Able to stand for several hours
  • Noise (50db. to 100db.)
