San Diego Humane Society is hiring a full time Temporary Guest Relations Associate for our Guest Relations team!

What you’ll do:

  • Assist owners who have lost their pet via stray walks, system searches, and lost reports.
  • Cross train in all areas of the Guest Relations department including Admissions, Stray, Reclaim, Lost and Found, and Adoptions.
  • Check in stray animals brought in by the public and gather detailed information regarding the animal’s owner, found circumstance, and behavior.
  • Reunite lost animals with their owners by confirming ownership, collecting payment, and completing paperwork.
  • Provide exceptional service to every guest; this includes immediately acknowledging guests as they enter or call SDHS and thanking them for coming to SDHS. Check guests in and out for relinquishment and euthanasia services.


What we’re looking for:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bilingual skills a plus, bilingual-Spanish preferred
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in customer/guest services required, 2 years preferred


Location & Hours:
Based at our Oceanside Campus. This position works 40 hours a week and is set to last for approximately 4 months.


Pay: Starting range is between $18.25 – $20.53 per hour and is eligible for an hourly bilingual-Spanish premium. The actual hourly rate is determined by your related education and experience.
