Job Description
The Personalization team makes deciding what to play next easier and more enjoyable for every listener. From Blend to Discover Weekly, we’re behind some of Spotify’s most-loved features. We built them by understanding the world of music and podcasts better than anyone else. We ask that our team members be physically located in Central European time or Eastern Standard/Daylight time zones for the purposes of our collaboration hours.


We’re looking for a passionate product leader to run our business programming strategy and the related Lifetime value (LTV) product area. You’ll encourage teams of engineers to implement and deliver outstanding content programming capabilities, and in the process have a substantial impact on the happiness of our users and success of our business. This is a high impact opportunity and strategically important role for Spotify. You’ll work with a cross-disciplinary set of folks across the globe, working in a fast-paced environment, and have a lot of fun along the way!


What You'll Do


  • Define metrics and KPIs we will use to measure the success of the features your team builds.
  • Form relationships with teams across the company, align on strategy, vision, execution and enablement.
  • Build, grow and manage a team of product managers to define and implement your long term vision.
  • Own a cross cutting product strategy that spans beyond your direct team, and is part of a key company priority list.
  • Lead a product team, ensuring your team is strong and healthy - including capabilities, happiness, resilience and growth.
  • Create a roadmap and execution strategies with the team by understanding user and strategic needs, using data insights and working closely with stakeholders.


Who You Are


  • Building products in a constantly evolving landscape is what excites you most.
  • You love partnering with insights, engineering and product to turn a vision into reality!
  • You are able to distill sophisticated information into easy-to-understand concepts, and understand how to lead a team through ambiguity.
  • You have in product experience of using machine learning to solve recommendation and ranking problems.
  • You have a proven track record working in tech including leading and developing software and platform products as a product manager.
  • Developed intuitions matched with deep analytical thinking to focus on the things that matter most is your expertise
  • You’ve had many experiences defining product roadmaps, building platform products, working with machine learning, collaborating with insights and engineering peers, and shipping at scale.
  • You are adept at building relationships with and aligning stakeholders and partnerships with dependent teams and have consistent experience interacting with VP level leaders.


Where You'll Be


  • Where in the world? For this role, it can be within the Eastern US region in which we have a work location and is within working hours.

  • We are a distributed workforce enabling our band members to find a work mode that is best for them!
  • Working hours? We operate within the Eastern US time zones for collaboration and ask that all be located in that time zone.


The United States base range for this position is $168,000 - $240,000, plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(K) retirement plan, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays, paid sick leave.
