Grounds Keeper Jobs

This is a predominantly hands-on, detail-oriented position requiring: planting, watering, pruning,
mulching, fertilization, mixing soil, repotting, recognition of plant nutrition deficiencies, recognition of pest infestation and damage, removal of plants and other grounds keeper activities. In addition,
groundskeepers are responsible for spotting potential dangers around the buildings and other areas. Incumbent must have experience in operating a variety of mechanized garden and landscaping too ls, machinery, and equipment, such as weed eaters, trimmers, edger's, chain saws, and pole saws.
The incumbent will report to the Director of Cultural Affairs.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: • High school diploma or GED equivalent • Five (5) years of residential and/or two (2) years of commercial experience in lawn care • Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver's license Preferred Qualifications: • Knowledge of gardening products such as fertilizers and pesticides • Previous experience working in horticulture and landscape design • Work with minimal supervision and have a strong independent work ethic • Eye for detail
