Position Overview: As a Graphic Novel Artist/Illustrator, you will play a crucial role in crafting visually stunning and emotionally engaging graphic novels. You will collaborate closely with writers, editors, and other artists to develop compelling narratives that transport readers to new worlds, ignite their imaginations, and evoke powerful emotions through art.

Responsibilities:

• Environment Design: Design and illustrate rich and immersive settings that enrich the storytelling and contribute to the overall visual appeal of the graphic novel.
• Artistic Development: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and continuously improve artistic skills to deliver high-quality and innovative illustrations.
• Storyboarding: Provide detailed storyboards that outline key scenes and help guide the narrative flow before finalizing the artwork.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the creative team, actively participating in brainstorming sessions, and communicating artistic ideas effectively.
• Character Design: Develop visually striking and memorable character designs, ensuring consistency and evolution throughout the graphic novel.
• Color and Lighting: Utilize color theory and lighting techniques to add depth and mood to illustrations, evoking the appropriate emotional responses from readers.
• Illustration and Storytelling: Create captivating and expressive illustrations that complement the narrative, effectively conveying emotions, actions, and atmospheres that enhance the reader's experience.
• Page Layouts: Collaborate with writers and editors to plan dynamic and engaging page layouts that effectively pace the story and maintain a seamless flow.

Requirements:

• Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication skills to convey ideas and concepts to team members.
• Adaptability: Ability to adapt your artistic style to suit different projects and genres while maintaining artistic excellence.
• Experience: Proven experience as a graphic novel artist, illustrator, or comic book artist, with a track record of successfully completed projects.
• Team Player: Strong collaborative spirit and the ability to receive and provide constructive feedback.
• Proficiency: Proficient in digital art software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Clip Studio Paint, etc.) and a solid understanding of traditional art techniques.
• Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing your artistic talent, illustrating a variety of styles and storytelling techniques relevant to graphic novels or comics.
• Passion for Storytelling: A deep appreciation for storytelling and the ability to visually convey emotions, action, and mood through art.
• Time Management: Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
