At GE Appliances, educating our sales team, customers and owners requires effective storytelling of our brands and products which depends greatly on creativity and what we can dream up. We are searching for a talented graphic and e-Learning designer who can take written or spoken ideas and create visual representations to engage, inform and inspire to deliver immersive educational experiences. As a part of the Commercial Learning Team, the Graphic and e-Learning Designer will collaborate cross-functionally to support Commercial Learning.

How You'll Create Possibilities


  • Examine existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement and efficiencies.
  • Work closely with the Commercial Learning Leader, Program Manager, Senior Trainer, and Videographer to assess needs and identify opportunities for content development and improvement.
  • Communicate needs to cross-functional teams to successfully meet deadlines for assigned projects.
  • Responsible for educational content creation for new and existing products.
  • Learn and adhere to brand guidelines and expectations to accurately express the brand and represent the company.
  • Brainstorm and strategize with teams on websites, e-Learning, presentations, storyboarding, signage, internal communications, newsletters, and marketing materials.
  • Manage a variety of projects and media, using various software programs to develop engaging educational content using adult learning theory and best practices.
  • Collaborate with Commercial Learning team and internal stakeholders to ideate and develop creative training strategies to effectively teach concepts and drive knowledge retention.
  • Maintain and organize project materials, keeping content up-to-date and easily accessible for team and internal stakeholders.
  • Solicit feedback from Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure that designs meet organizational standards.
  • Develop concepts using storyboards and/or software for original creative content through ideal usage of color, text, font style, imagery, and layout.


What You'll Bring to Our Team


Requirements


  • Desire to continue building professional skill set with education and training
  • Three or more years of experience (academic and professional) with design software, including Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop
  • 3 years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong creativity and innovative design skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Communications, HR Management or Business Administration, or related discipline from an accredited college or university
  • Organizational and time-management skills


Desired Characteristics


  • Graphic design, e-Learning, marketing, product sales or adult education experience
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
