SUMMARY OF POSITION

Esparza Digital + Advertising is seeking a graphic designer responsible for developing and producing visual solutions that meet or exceed client needs and expectations. You should be capable of taking ideas from concept through to completion and producing consistent, well-executed designs across a variety of mediums, including digital ads, social, print, outdoor, television, logos and general marketing and branding materials.

In close partnership with Esparza’s VP of brand strategy, senior art director, and senior graphic designer, you will seek to influence consumer behavior through well-crafted ideas, designs and creative executions. You should be a champion of visually captivating design, have a keen attention to detail and be able to take ownership of and present your work. As the creative and advertising industry continues to evolve rapidly, you also must take an innovative approach to design and stay aware of the latest digital media trends and emerging online platforms.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include designing layouts for print and digital executions, resizing designs, assisting with social media design, preparing final files for production, sourcing stock photos, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Resize files for final production
• Assist with layout of cohesive and polished presentation decks or documents
• Assist with social media photo/video assets as needed
• Sourcing stock photos or video for client needs
• Assist with designing promotions, mailers, email and blog graphics, social media, display ads, etc.
• Use brand guidelines for each client to design print and digital assets
• Collaborate with Creative team to ensure designs align with the brand's messaging and marketing objectives

REQUIRED SKILL SETS

• Certificate or degree in graphic design, visual communications or related field
• Strong knowledge of design principles, typography, layout and image manipulation
• Ability to work in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
• A keen eye for visual details and accuracy
• Ability to generate original ideas and visual concepts and contribute to concepting and pitch meetings
• Willingness to learn, grow and receive feedback with a positive, can-do attitude
• “We before Me” collaborative mentality with an honest and diligent work ethic
• Ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines
• Flexible approach and willingness to adapt ideas to the needs of clients and platforms
• Excellent organizational and time management skills when juggling tasks for a variety of clients
• Ability to present design methodology and approach to clients and colleagues

PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED

• Ability to shoot and/or edit video
• Familiarity with Figma
• Ability to design decks and presentations in Google Slides

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• Experience working at a creative, advertising, consulting and/or marketing agency strongly preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in a design discipline preferred
