We are looking for an experienced and passionate Graphic Designer to provide professional support for FDOT in Ocoee, Florida. The Graphic Designer will work with a team of accountants, financial specialists, engineers, planners, and GIS staff.

Duties and Responsibilities:Under the direction of the Marketing and Public Outreach Manager, this position will provide support to the Communications and Marketing team by assisting with the production of graphics, marketing copy, proofreading, photographic elements, social media support, graphics program maintenance, event support, administrative support, and overall team goals. Duties may include but are not limited to:

• Provide graphics support to Marketing team by designing simple to complex, production -ready graphics, from pre-production to postproduction including maps, calendars, Power Point presentations, and special requests.
• Provide day-to-day operational support to the Marketing & Communications Department
• Ability to work occasional after-hours assignments for special events.
• Maintain agency branding and visual identity guidelines.
• Assist with creation and branding of campaign support materials including websites, social media posts, community engagement items (tents, table covers, banners, branded items, print materials).
• Prepares files for use by internal and external printers.
• Assist with the posting of Communications and Transportation Development items on the FDOT website.
• Provide social media support to Communications and Marketing team by assisting with the creation of graphics, content creation, calendar creation, posting and monitoring of social media sites.
• Assist with the creation of maps, fact sheets, announcements, and collaterals.
• Provide proofreading support in accordance with Department guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned .

Required Skills:

1. High degree of skills in Adobe Creative Suite graphic design software
2. Experience in social media posting, content creation and graphic design
3. Advanced-level knowledge of Microsoft Office package (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
4. Experience with preparing print-ready files
5. Strong skills in proofreading, editing and preparing documents for publishing and distribution
6. Knowledge of HTML and WordPress
7. Expertise in developing document and presentation templates;
8. Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate in a professional manner with upper management, professional staff, and stakeholders at all levels of the organization to deliver responsive services
9. Must understand the importance of deadlines and be responsive to business emergencies;
10. Ability to take ownership of task assignments and take them to completion
11. Ability to work in a demanding and fast-paced environment, balancing multiple deadlines through effective prioritization, communication, and collaboration
12. Valid driver's license;
13. Occasional travel is required, driving to project sites located outdoors

Nice to Have Skills:

1. Experience with desktop publishing and digital design software
2. Familiarity with aspects of photography and photo editing
3. Use of interactive PDF's
4. Experience with video production
5. Experience in working on large and complex professional reports;
6. Work experience in DOT or other public agencies
