The Grants Manager position, which sits within the Home Office, partners with US and International Offices to provide ongoing financial and operational management support within the grant process. This role manages the grants team and assists the Home Office with streamlining functions and communication.

Role & Responsibilities

FINANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manages the onboarding and off boarding of grants
  • Act as liaison between Field Leadership, Home Office, and Corporate Finance in creating organizational alignment and addressing challenges present within offices local context
  • Support training of existing staff as needed.
  • Create and facilitate grants training for finance staff and Office Directors
  • Integrate financial processes and communications among the different organizational departments
  • Ensure relevant WR teams are proficient in the use of organizational financial tools/resources
  • Manages all grant reporting functions.

GRANTS MANAGEMENT
  • Annual SAM registration
  • Take lead for Annual Code Creation process
  • Review and Submit SF 425
  • Review and approve month end close ICR and Revenue Entries
  • Audit lead for communication re: grants, SEFA
  • FFATA Subaward reporting
  • Request Grants drawdowns, including payment justification
  • Create Exceptions Report
  • Provide grant budget feedback and review for new grant applications.
  • Work with Grants & Foundation Team to develop best practices in grant processes, communication, and reporting requirements.
  • Will work on building processes with others in the Division to organize proposal processes, and revenue forecasting.
  • Admin for all grant related websites and databases
  • Provide grant financial monitoring and review reporting, particularly for private funding.

In Coordination with the HO Director of Finance
  • Review and assist in development of financial policies and procedures
  • Provide support and assistance to US field offices for the budgeting process
  • Work with ERP Team and Corporate Finance in report creation and dissemination to ensure field offices and other Managers understand and utilize reports for decision making.
  • Improve upon existing forecasting and budgeting process so that the needs of both Home Office and field offices are met

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Effective communicator and influencer with ability to clearly convey complex financial issues in a clear format for non-finance professionals.
  • Ability to navigate financial and non-financial data gathering and analytics; technically adept with ability to quickly learn and maximize usage of technology and software; effective user of Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate skill in MS Excel.
  • Knowledge of the U.S. non-profit and INGO business sector, including compliance requirements of the U.S. and state and local governments
  • Ability to act independently, manage potentially diverse stakeholder needs and priorities, and follow-through with results.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with remote, cross-cultural teams.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of grants management experience
  • Mature and personal Christian faith
  • Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
  • Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Evangelicals For the Health of The Nation document
  • Committed to the mission, vision, and values of World Relief
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or similar discipline
  • Up to 25% domestic and/or international travel
  • Proficiency in English – speaking and writing
