Job Description

The Ocean and Soft Intelligent Structure interaction (OASIS) Lab https://sites.google.com/view/oasislabasu/ in Arizona State University will be recruiting multiple PhD students, postdocs and visiting scholars for Fall 2023 and Spring/Fall 2024. The first year graduate students will be selected as the prestigious Ira A. Fulton fellowship from the ASU School of Engineering.


Responsibilities

You will be conducting research that integrates machine learning techniques into mechanics and soft robotics problems. The responsibilities of undertaking research; undertaking appropriate skills training; maintaining the progress of their work; mentoring undergraduate students, and presenting research through journal publications and conference publications.


Qualifications

We welcome students interested in at least two of the following areas: solid & structural mechanics, machine learning, robotics, CFD simulation, and fluid dynamics experiment.
