Shirley Contracting Company, LLC is looking for Grade Foreman to join our team.


Qualifications


  • Read plans and have a working knowledge of standards and specifications.
  • Must pass pre-employment physical/drug screening.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment, preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Grade Foreman.
  • Ability to communicate with employees, venders, inspectors, owners’ representatives.
  • Able to organize, plan and schedule work.


Responsibilities


  • Ensure the company’s health and safety culture, policies and requirements are met.
  • Must be willing to perform all related tasks to support projects.
  • Coordinates and supervises daily activities of a 2 – 7-person crew.
  • Knowledgeable of material and equipment requirements.
  • Coordinates and assists the Project Management Team to ensure all materials are onsite prior to being needed, schedule is integrated into the overall project schedule, and MOT needs.
  • Provides on-the-job training and suggests other trainings to help grow crew members skills and abilities.
  • Observes assigned equipment to detect machinery malfunctions. Assures the proper operation, maintenance, and cleanliness of equipment.
  • Monitor production and cost daily. Analyze job cost reports and make changes to ensure budgets are being met.
  • Request and supervise layout with project team.
  • Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with customer and co-workers.
  • Reviews and approves employee time reporting and completes all required paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for crew and worksite safety. Establishes safe work environment that complies with the Company safety program.
