Job Description
Reybold is growing Construction and Property Managment Company seeking a CPS Technician for our Construction Department. This is a full time Construction Layout position primarily responsible for site construction layout and survey for various residential, commercial, municipal and industrial projects.


Essential Duties And Responsibilities


  • Must be able to work independently and remotely under various conditions.
  • Setup of all layout point files.
  • Establish on-site survey controls (localization of site).
  • Perform all construction data collection and survey/layout calculations.
  • Complete understanding of civil construction drawings.
  • Field engineering when issues arise.
  • Must possess great time management skills to balance needs of multiple sites at once.
  • Maintaining all assigned equipment and vehicles in first class operating condition
  • Complete understanding and ability to perform civil construction layout and survey.
  • Setup of GPS Dozers (creating control, linework and surface files).
  • Verifying the accuracy of surveyed data.
  • Analyzing situations to perform work accurately, efficiently, and safely.
  • Preparing technical reports and correspondences
  • Must be reliable and possess excellent communication skills, primarily with site construction team, contractors, engineering firms and owners.
  • Meet with management team to define project needs and requirements.
  • Comparing and analyzing CAD files and/or drawings to construction site and building plans for conformity


Additional Responsibilities


  • Building and maintaining databases and field logs
  • Create 'as-builts' of completed work
  • Overtime is required to respond to emergency calls and to handle increased work loads
  • Performing job material takeoffs/cut-fill analysis
  • Keeping up to date on technology as it relates to the field


Education And/or Experience Qualifications


  • Valid standard Drivers License
  • PLS is a plus
  • 3-5 years experience as a crew leader/party chief
  • Associates degree in civil engineering, CAD or related field required
  • Software: AutoCAD, AGTEK, Trimble, Topcon, Civil3D, MS Office

  • Strong analytical, math, computer, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently is required
  • Subject to random substance abuse screening per company policy as a safety sensitive employee.


Physical Demands


  • Ability to walk, bend, move, climb, and lift
  • Physically demanding and challenging
  • Ability to exert force to move up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to use movements to operate heavy equipment
  • Vision requirements include near and distance vision


Work Environment


Majority of work is performed outside with exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Noise Level is very Loud.
