The City of Louisville is seeking reliable crew members to assist in maintaining and mowing the Coal Creek Golf Course. This position is under the general supervision of the Golf Course Superintendent. The selected candidates will perform unskilled and semi-skilled manual labor, and operate light to medium maintenance equipment at the Coal Creek Golf Course.
This role offers up to 29 hours per week, with shifts scheduled Monday through Sunday.

- Spot water dry turf areas with hose in the afternoon.
- Assist with City of Louisville special events; may include some holidays and weekends.
- Essential Job Duties:
- Operate medium maintenance equipment to maintain and mow fairways, rough, and collars.
- Operate hand tools, trimmers, and blowers.

- Perform general landscape maintenance at City parks and open spaces as needed.
- Other Duties and Responsibilities:

Education, Training, and Experience:
- Golf course maintenance or landscape experience preferred but not necessary.
- Experience using hand tools and small trim equipment.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to use computers and printers to complete timesheets.
- Basic knowledge of plants and soils is preferred.
- Familiarity with the rules of golf and how they relate to golf course maintenance.
- Ability to ride and push mowers.
- Knowledge of occupational safety rules and practices.
- Ability to follow oral and written instruction to complete small projects.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Candidates may be required to complete and pass a pre-placement physical, substance screen, background check, and positive reference check prior to employment.
Physical Requirements of the Job:
The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk; use hands, fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and read, speak and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
Frequent exposure to moderate noise levels that may cause distractions. Work is performed in an outdoor environment occasionally in inclement weather conditions including: heat, rain, wind and sun. May be exposed to moving mechanical parts; work near moving traffic; fumes or airborne particles; herbicides; and vibrations.
