What you'll do:

Work with supplier and internal stakeholders to meet Viasat's Antenna Systems needs.

The day-to-day:
  • Partner with internal customers to ensure sourcing strategies are aligned with program objectives.
  • Ensure early and active involvement with the supply base.
  • Maintain day-to-day & strategic supplier and internal customer relationships as the lead point of contact.
  • Provide analytics and insight to the internal customer.
  • Issue RFP's, negotiate, evaluate, and execute contract agreements and purchase orders.
  • Partner with Planning to analyze historical spend/forecast spend.
  • Support growth planning and scalability
  • Facilitate supplier business reviews and maintain strategic relationships
What you'll need:
  • US government position. US citizenship required.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
  • Experience with negotiating supplier agreements and knowledge of Terms & Conditions
  • M/S Office and Major ERP System, including Web-Based Supplier Interface
  • Proven experience with detailed data analysis leading to strategic sourcing recommendations and decisions.
  • Strategic Sourcing skills: SOW Development, Request for Quote/Proposal/Information, Total Cost of Ownership analysis and Supplier Relationship Management
  • 5+ years directly applicable Supply Chain experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree with focus in Operations, Supply Chain, or related experience
  • Must have excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation skills including the ability to influence all levels of internal stakeholders.
  • Experience with contract management, project management, and supplier relationship management
  • Self-starter with the ability to adapt, improve processes, and find solutions.

  • Good understanding of RF commodities, Contract Services, Metal commodities
  • Knowledge of FAR
  • Experience in an R&D setting with highly technical products and and ability to engage/manage a complex engineering-centric effort from concept to delivery.
Salary range: $91,400.00 - $148,400.00 / annually : At Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience.
