Lenovo is looking to add talent to our growing Global Media COE (Center of Excellence). We offer an environment that is challenging, fast-paced and continuously evolving in pursuit of our goals. We collaborate with global, geo and country marketers, other functional COEs and our creative and media agencies to develop global strategies to be activated in our priority markets and beyond.


The Strategy Manager (Consumer) will be responsible for developing comprehensive digital media strategies across all channels, including display, paid search, paid social, programmatic, video, DOOH, and emerging media. You will work closely with agency partners and cross-functional teams to understand business goals and objectives, evolve target audience insights, and develop data-driven media strategies that deliver on KPIs. This Global/WW role will involve harnessing insights across our key markets and building strategies that not only help educate the local teams but that drive change and evolution in how we are going to market. The ideal candidate is a sophisticated and well-rounded strategist, analyst and thought leader; Someone who is effective in planning for short-term and long-term success, who is curious, creative, persistent, thorough, extremely detail-oriented, collaborative, and fast.


Key responsibilities:


  • Coordinate with our Insights COE (Center of Excellence) to be deeply knowledgeable around our target audience segments to guide channel recommendations
  • Work with our global agencies to develop the Global Strategic Frameworks for our major Consumer campaigns and present them to the markets
  • Follow-up with the local markets to ensure uptake of the global strategy and, if not, reasons for it
  • Collaborate with major media publishers/platforms on innovative placements and sponsorships that could help us achieve our goals and reach our target audience segments

  • Collaborate with agencies on creative development, content and dynamic content optimization assets needed to execute the developed strategy
  • Oversee key relationships with external agency partners, vendors, media networks, and social media platforms
  • Identify and evaluate emerging media trends and develop strategies for implementation
  • Collaborate with Business Intelligence to understand campaign performance data, identify insights, and make data-driven recommendations to optimize campaigns
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in digital media, advertising, and technology
  • Commanding knowledge of new digital media opportunities, technologies, legal requirements, trends and competition. From this knowledge, make recommendations for our operations and Information infrastructure
  • Help key stakeholders to vet potential partners and deliver on the marketing technology roadmap. Identify key milestones that will improve team efficiency related to the process of building global strategic frameworks.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive digital media strategies that align with business goals and objectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that digital media campaigns are aligned with overall marketing initiatives and strategies


Job Requirements:
  • Ideally, Adobe Audience Manager
  • Experience with emerging media trends and platforms, such as CTV, OTT, and DOOH
  • Familiarity with various business models (ex. Commercial, D2C, Retail), customer base management and lifecycle engagement tactics, techniques and practices
  • World class knowledge of digital media platforms
  • Media data sources and planning tools; e.g., GWI, IPSOS, MRI, Nielsen, Kantar
  • Professional Experience:
  • 8+ years of experience in digital media strategy, planning, and buying
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience managing teams of media planners, buyers, and analysts
  • Media metrics across a full array of channels and tactics
  • Ad tech: ad serving, DSPs/DMPs, CDPs, DCO, social media analytics/insights, etc.
  • Methods & tools:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field.
  • Media buying platforms; e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, DV360, and The Trade Desk
  • Experienced strategist for large-scale marketing campaigns with KPI forecasting
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience using data to inform media strategy and decision-making
  • Experience working within a very large, fast-moving organization with many internal and external stakeholders is a bonus
  • Excels at managing multiple initiatives simultaneously within tight deadlines
  • Taxonomy development and implementation
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Preferred Requirements:
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage budgets, resources, and timelines effectively
  • Exceptional analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and data visualization skills
  • Strong verbal/written communication
