The Marriott International HQ, located at 7750 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda, MD, 20814 is currently hiring a Director, Global Growth & Delivery Planning.



Responsibilities include:




The Director, Global Growth & Delivery Planning is responsible for supporting our annual planning processes and key growth initiatives. This role will function as a strategic business partner and must be adept at synthesizing diverse information so that senior leaders can identify key priorities and plan accordingly. The position will also support various special projects within Marriott by providing high-quality business consulting, project /product/process management. The Director assists in gaining alignment (as appropriate) across the broader organization (e.g., Continents, Finance, Senior Executives), and partners with other cross discipline stakeholders to further align and integrate the various programs and work underway.


CANDIDATE PROFILE



Education and Experience Required




• 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, or related major and 6+ years of relevant professional experience, demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance;

OR

• 8+ years of relevant professional experience, demonstrating progressive career growth and pattern of exceptional performance.

Skill Preferred

• Consulting, product / process management, or strategy experience

• Prior experience leading or partnering in the development and implementation of a strategic planning process/roadmap.

• Experience partnering with a diverse group of stakeholders across large, matrixed organizations and influencing without direct authority.

• Solid track record of advancing business direction and strategies.

• Ability to integrate and balance multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities, work activities and resources to achieve organization objectives.

Managing Work, Projects, and Process

• Supports the development and execution of the strategic planning processes.

• Makes and executes the necessary decisions to keep the team moving forward toward achievement of goals.

• Assists with building and maintaining stakeholder relationships as business partnerships.

• Independently coordinates and implements work and projects.

• Generates and provides accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations, etc.

• Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems.

• Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work.

• Sets and tracks goal progress for self and others.

• Monitors the work of others to ensure it is completed on time and meets expectations.

• Consult with and advises senior executives on critical prioritization decisions to take advantage of profitable opportunities to deliver against the core priorities of Marriott International.

• Creates and executes new tools for discipline leads to enable the planning and budgeting process.

• Illustrates to senior executives’ investment in the company’s top priorities.


Delivering on the Needs of Key Stakeholders



• Develops and maintains effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Updates stakeholders on key business planning efforts, responds to concerns, and solicits feedback. Engages leadership to develop and execute action plans to address gaps.

• Continually reviews stakeholder feedback to identify and communicate current and future needs of internal and external customers as it relates to the initiative planning and prioritization process.

• Communicates concepts in a clear and persuasive manner that is easy to understand.

• Demonstrates an understanding of business priorities.
