Department Profile

Global Financial Crimes (GFC) coordinates day-to-day implementation of the Firm’s enterprise-wide financial crime prevention efforts. GFC includes both legal and compliance disciplines and has responsibility for governance, oversight and execution of the Firm’s Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Sanctions, Anti-Corruption, Anti-Tax Evasion, and Government and Political Activities Compliance programs. GFC also develops and/or assists in the development of appropriate policies and procedures, including those designed to assist the business units to know their clients and conduct appropriate due diligence and to prevent, detect and report potentially suspicious activity. GFC has dedicated coverage managers and teams of analysts who advise and counsel each business unit regarding its GFC obligations and its particular clients and transactions.

Primary Responsibilities

The GFC Program Execution and Support is a director role which will be based in either New York or Baltimore and report to the Program Execution Officer. The role holder will be a member of GFC globally and part of the US GFC Investigations, Screening and FIU teams which is based across sites located in New York, NY, Baltimore, MD, Arlington, VA and Alpharetta, GA with co-management responsibilities across EMEA and APAC.

The role is primarily responsible for supporting the Program Execution Officer (Executive Director) in delivering their strategic objectives as well as providing advice to key stakeholders on the design and execution of the financial crimes program for the Morgan Stanley businesses across the US. The purpose is to ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements from a program execution perspective, considering industry best practices while driving regional and global consistency.

      Expected base pay rates for the role in New York will be between 85000 and 135000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.#LI-SS1
