General Staff- Custodial Workers

Canlan Sports is currently looking for a General Staff- Custodial Workers Our Janitors are pro-active and hands-on individuals who perform janitorial and minor maintenance duties to ensure the overall upkeep of the facility and surrounding grounds. Their primary responsibilities include cleaning and performing small repairs. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Willingness and ability to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends and call outs)
• Window cleanliness
• Setup, transition and take down of fields and courts.
• Assist with minor maintenance as required QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
• Maintain appropriate checklists, records and reports with respect to:
• Previous experience as a commercial buildings janitor (preferred)
• Property & grounds cleanup
• Building Service Worker Certificate (BC) ABILITIES, ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE
• Perform general janitorial and maintenance tasks in accordance with local building and fire codes

• Seasonal snow and debris removal
• Ensure that entrances, grounds, and parking lot are kept clean, clear and safe including:
• Washroom cleaning checklist
• Parking lot & property cleaning checklist
• Change room cleanliness
• Shower cleaning checklist
• Grass cutting and edging
• Completed high school education or equivalent is an asset
• Perform vacuuming, auto scrubbing, waxing and buffing in line with established floor care procedures
• Valid driverâ€s license an asset
