About The Role


This position is the heartbeat of our business, supporting both ownership and the Blingle! team. The General Manager will oversee daily operations and ensure productivity of Lighting Sales Specialists, and successful installation of our lighting projects. The ideal candidate for this key role will have the experience, expertise, management, and organizational skills to oversee both the day-to-day operations as well as contributing to the long-term growth and development of the company, ensuring the team is meeting our quality standards, following safety protocols, and providing exceptional customer service. The General Manager will coordinate their direct reports and other team members to guarantee a smooth-running business. The job location is in a multi-purpose warehouse with some work from home opportunities.


Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the daily operations.
  • Represent company within the local community.
  • Oversees office operations including supply orders.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple objectives in a fast-paced environment while delivering quality outcomes. Occasional participation in local promotional activities to help grow the business.
  • Lead a small but dynamic team of sales reps and installers.
  • Be a leader and mentor to the team.
  • Highly organized with superior attention to detail.
  • Confirm accuracy of estimates.
  • Ability to communicate with customers in a calm, professional manner.
  • Make sure employees are well trained in their area of expertise.
  • Planning daily installation routes to maximize efficiency.
  • Hire, train, and coach employees.
  • Manages vehicles, trailers, and maintenance.
  • Manage employees' work hours, schedule, and payroll.
  • Manage sub-contractor (installers) relationships.
  • Proficient in company software and best practices.
  • Manage inventory, project schedules, work orders and payment.
  • Prepare project plans for work orders.


Requirements:


  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Positive attitude and professional demeanor at all times
  • Valid state driver’s license required
  • Ability to work a full time position as by determined by seasonal fluctuations
  • Strong ability to multi-task, stay organized, and communicate effectively
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a lead, supervisory or management role required


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Demonstrated knowledge of landscape design, sales experience, electrical experience and holiday lighting experience
  • Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency
  • Self-motivated and a team player
  • Sales experience is a plus
  • Leadership/team management experience

Physical Requirements:


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:


  • Stand; walk; sit; twist; use hands to handle; reach with hands and arms; push; pull; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear
  • Must be able to drive a motor vehicle (day and evenings) for extended time periods
  • Must be able to work a full-time, flexible schedule with “on call availability” that may require local travel on short notice
  • Lift, move, and hold up to approximately 50 lbs
