Job Summary
This position exists to perform janitorial and building maintenance duties at the Minnesota Lottery as assigned. They must also escort vendors providing services to the Minnesota Lottery, throughout the building. The position will require some overtime on short notice.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
To facilitate proper crediting, please ensure that your resume clearly describes the following qualifications and include the month and year for each job held.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions with vacuum cleaners, wet and dry mops, stocking supplies, and other equipment and tools on a regular basis.
- Knowledge of different types of flooring/floor covering sufficient to determine proper methods of maintenance and appropriate cleaning methods, materials, agents, and equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with individuals with a wide range of backgrounds, who do not share you same culture, ethnicity, language, or other common experiences.
- Ability to perform assigned tasks with limited direction.
- Experience keeping inventory records.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to work above the ground level such as on ladders.
- Ability to follow simple oral and written instructions.
- Ability to work overheard on a variety of tasks (such as light dusting and cleaning).
Physical Requirements
Requires occasionally lifting items such as 50-pound boxes and frequently lifting and/or carrying objects such as tools and file boxes. This job requires repetitive motion such as vacuuming, mopping, shoveling, and dusting.
