Position Description And Essential Functions


The Sewer Camera General Foreman will oversee at least one area within a given region or state. They will be responsible for communicating with the customer daily and ensuring that their employees are executing their assigned task of providing the safest, highest quality and best customer service in the traffic control industry. The General Foreman is responsible for developing their team and providing operational support for field operations. The General Forman is expected to be a field management position spending roughly 80% of his/ her time in the field managing job sites, conducting safety audits, and ensuring quality assurance to our customers.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: *(Based upon level of position, not all functions may apply)


  • Ensure proper use of personal safety equipment while
  • Must communicate and manage your team effectively inside and outside the office environment.
  • You have experience with CCTV sewer camera inspection (preferred).
  • Will follow directives from management with little or no supervision.
  • Operate the remote-controlled sewer camera
  • Use knowledge and understanding of all MUTCD and state-specific setups and regulations to ensure traffic control devices conform to state regulations.
  • Independent worker/ self-starter
  • Provide training, coaching, mentoring as needed to team members.
  • Field Manager (managing job sites, conducting safety audits, and ensuring quality assurance)
  • Champion and own safety by modeling behaviors and enforcing company policies. Perform corrective action when appropriate.
  • 80% of the time, his or her time will be spent on job site locations.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, Supervisors, and Customers.
  • Will be an approved company Driver and must hold a valid driver’s license throughout employment.
  • Use camera equipment to quickly and conveniently complete inspections from the street level
  • Professionally conduct daily and/or weekly safety and operations meetings with the team and participate in other area staff meetings as required.
  • Must be dependable and flexible with work schedule (including weekends when needed).
  • Provide useful and detailed reports
  • Ensure all payroll, timesheets, general field paperwork is completed accurately and submitted on time.


Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities


  • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
  • 1-3 years of experience managing crews/jobsite
  • Strong organizational, and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to work independently and in groups to complete daily activities according to work schedule.
  • Firm knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used related to underground and municipal construction work.
  • Ability to professionally interact with supervisors, project supervisors, coworkers, public, subordinate employees, other contractors, project owners and their agents.
  • Some knowledge of first aid and applicable safety precautions.


Minimum Qualifications


  • Must be able to follow safe workplace practices
  • Ability to work flexible hours.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Business or similar discipline preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean MVR is required per company policy.
  • Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office products.


Work Environment


  • Business requirements may include periodic travel.
  • Job is performed in a typical office environment, but is subject to time pressures and constraints, and is often dependent on input from others.
  • Business requirements may necessitate that work be performed in the field, and after normal work hours or on weekends.


This position is subject to the Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) drug & alcohol testing regulations as outlined in 49 CFR Part 382 and/or 49 CFR Part 199.
