As a Furniture Project Manager, you will provide project management services associated with office furniture, minor and major tenant improvements, site work and space reconfiguration projects within Apple’s portfolio from planning phase through final completion. Responsible for day-to-day contact with project team and outside vendors, and responsibility for meeting project fiduciary requirements and schedules.

Key Qualifications

Minimum of 4 years related furniture industry experience.

Understanding and knowledge of necessary regulations, in which work is being performed, to ensure compliance.

Ability to work regular full-time hours or irregular hours as needed.

Ability to manage numerous projects at a time.

Description

Oversee all related contracted services for furniture procurement and installation including the coordination with architect, global design, construction, IT and AV Pm’s and GC.

Monitor all phases of a project and promptly address any changes to the original scope of services and the impact to the project schedule and budget. Continually assess project needs and resources available to complete the project successfully.

Obtain clear understanding of project scope from project team, including high level details, prior to kick-off meeting and guide team on realistic timeframes expected for each project.

Manage and lead a successful furniture team through all phases of each project.

Establish Furniture project budget with the construction PM.

Manage financials for each project, including obtaining approvals for initial and final budgets, release of purchase orders, tracking of existing and expected commitments, and timely approval of invoices.

Maintain a filing system that documents all project activities and prepare status reports for project team, and/or others and modify schedules or plans as required.

Participate in project OAC meetings, site visits, punch-list walkthroughs for furniture or construction.

Upon project completion, coordinate project closeout by obtaining O&M Manuals (if required) and building as-builts, then issue them to planning / archive teams and to leasing team for landlord acceptance and release of TI allowances.

Interest and aptitude to work on small construction projects if the business need arises.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree – preferably in Architecture, Design, Facilities Management or Construction management.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $125,000 and $188,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
