We have an exciting opportunity for Full-time Budtenders (Cannabis Patient Care Specialists) to join us on our journey to transform our bold ambitions for the Missouri medical and recreational cannabis market into a reality.
Our Budtenders (Cannabis Patient Care Specialists) will work out of our location off of Highway 47 in Warrenton, MO. This opportunity will start at $15/hour plus pooled tips, with the schedule to include weekends and possible evening shifts.
Responsibilities for Budtender/Cannabis Patient Care Specialist:
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the dispensary, ensuring adherence to hygiene and sanitation guidelines;
- Educating customers on a variety of available products that may achieve their desired outcome;
- Collaborating with dispensary staff during times of peak business volume, as directed;
- Tailoring product recommendations to meet the customers' needs in compliance with state law;
- Performing assigned dispensary side job or jobs;
- Maintaining customer flow;
- Inquiring about any potential issues the customers might be experiencing;
- Attending team meetings;
- Backing up team members as necessary;
- Maintaining a thorough knowledge of all dispensary products and medicinal qualities;
- Creating a positive, memorable experience for every Proper Cannabis customer;
- Processing customer payments and dispensing change;
- Maintaining an accurate cash count in the assigned drawer;
- Maintaining professional, positive, and effective working relationships.
- Entering sales orders into the POS system;
- Eliciting feedback from returning customers to further customize recommendations;
- Serving as a brand ambassador;
- Maintaining customer confidentiality;
- Answering any questions the customers may have related to dispensary products;
- Updating sales and inventory records accurately;
- Ensuring the safety and satisfaction of every customer;
Requirements for Budtender/Cannabis Patient Care Specialist:
- Ability to gain and maintain a thorough understanding of the medicinal implications and effects of strains including Sativa, Indica, and Hybrids;
- 1+ years in retail and guest services;
- Must be 21 years of age or older;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Ability to quickly adapt in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment;
- Ability to obtain a Missouri Agent ID by the start date, which may include submitting fingerprints and passing a criminal background check.
- Passion for cannabis;
- HS Diploma or GED
- Customer service-oriented and team-centered with a positive attitude;
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
Preferred, but not required:
- Familiarity with Missouri cannabis laws and regulations;
- 1+ years of cannabis retail experience.
Environment:
This position requires the ability to reach, bend, stoop, sit, and stand, and carry and lift up to 30 lbs. The work environment is an environmentally controlled retail store. This position may require traveling up to 10% of the time.
