As a Full Stack Developer at our health tech start-up, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development and implementation of our website and app. You will work closely with our team to deliver user-centric solutions that enhance patient experiences and streamline healthcare workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the design team to implement visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces.
- Work in an agile development environment, participate in sprint planning, and deliver work on time.
- Create intuitive user interfaces, ensuring a seamless and engaging user experience across multiple devices.
- Develop secure and scalable APIs to integrate with external systems and healthcare databases.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and healthcare regulations to ensure compliance and incorporate relevant advancements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements, user needs, and technical constraints.
- Implement robust data storage solutions and design efficient database schemas.
- Conduct thorough testing, including unit testing, integration testing, and automated testing, to ensure high-quality and bug-free software.
- Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code that adheres to best practices and coding standards.
- Continuously monitor and optimize application performance, security, and scalability.
- Design, develop, and deploy responsive web applications and mobile apps from scratch using modern front-end and back-end technologies.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with mobile app development using frameworks like React Native or Flutter.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and SQL.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with back-end technologies like Node.js, Ruby on Rails, or Python frameworks (Django, Flask).
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
- Experience building RESTful APIs and integrating third-party APIs.
- Solid understanding of web development principles, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for deployment and scaling.
- Proficiency in front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Associate degree is a minimum education requirement or certification in an ideal skillset related to: Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Preferred Skills (not required, but a plus):
- Understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
- Familiarity with healthcare or health tech industry.
- Understanding of authentication and authorization protocols (OAuth, JWT).
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Some knowledge of health data standards (HL7, FHIR) and HIPAA compliance.
