Job Overview

This position is responsible for the accurate payment and allocation of Freight invoices. Reply to incoming calls and written correspondence. Ability to work independently and utilize strong analytical skills.

Essential Functions

• Prepare Process spreadsheets for freight allocation.
• Ensure processing of payment and resolve 3rd Party Payment Provider reject issues.
• Dependable work ethic and adherence to company policies and attendance standards
• Resolve carrier issues and or balance dues, to ensure account is current.
• Research accessorial bills and forward to 3rd Party Payment Provider for payment.
• Reply to incoming calls and written correspondence from carriers and maintain documentation.
• Ensure monthly statements are received and researched within appropriate time.
• Process timely and accurate allocation of freight invoices.
• Ability to work independently and with others as a team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality.

Qualifications and Competencies

• May involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching. Involves close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
• This position involves extended periods of sitting and the extensive use of computer and the office equipment.
• Sense of urgency, ability to handle multiple task.
• Some college preferred. High School Degree required.
• Must have above average mathematical skills, including the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages, and the ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong personal management and problem solving skills.
• Knowledge of Macy’s systems including FLO, Log Portal, EDI, Supply Chain/Transportation, and Accounts payable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Retail experience preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and store/company needs.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents such as reports and procedure manuals.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. 3-5 years Accounts Payable experience.
• Attention to detail.
