As a Dash Talents Hair Stylist (Independent Contractor), you will learn from the top hair stylists in the game. You will be able to display your hair styling artistry in our portfolio building projects and elite local and international fashion and beauty events.

Your Impact to Dash Talents:

As a Dash Talents Hair Stylist (Independent Contractor), you will learn from the top hair stylists in the game. You will be able to display your hair styling artistry in our portfolio building projects and elite local and international fashion and beauty events. You will help bring Dash's vision to life in your own creative ways, as you provide meaningful, unique experiences that inspire confidence and authentic expression of beauty. Because we advocate for the careers of our Hair Stylists, you will be mentored by internationally published Hair Stylist, singer, and model, Yelena Scheidler. You will get a chance to build a full portfolio for your career growth and gain access to the wide network of Dash Talents.

You'll accomplish all of this by:
  • Demonstrating proficiency in hair cutting, styling, and coloring techniques
  • Being passionate about your work which would then reflect in your artistry and creativity
  • Cutting, coloring, and styling hair using various techniques and tools
  • Demonstrating knowledge of proper techniques for different hair types and styles to create an optimal look
  • Utilizing appropriate tools and products for different hair types and styles to create an optimal look
  • Taking the initiative to stay informed regarding new and existing industry trends, products, services, and ingredients to better serve models and talent
  • Providing touch ups as needed
  • Ensuring hairstyles look natural and well-styled under different lighting
  • Completing a thorough and hands-on training on specific industry standards

Qualifications:
  • Ability follow sanitation practices to ensure hygiene
  • Professional hair stylist certification from an accredited academy
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Strong hair cutting, styling, and coloring skills
  • Able to take direction with ease
  • Performing hair styling to company brand
  • Ownership of own hair styling kit, tools, and all necessary devices to complete your work
  • 2 years of experience in working with clients, photographers, stylists, events
  • An existing portfolio that showcases past work
  • Proficiency in male and female hair styling

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Makeup artistry skills are a plus
  • Cosmetology or Esthetician license

Special Position Requirements:
  • Work a flexible schedule to include days, evenings, weekdays, and holidays
  • Ability to travel
Working Conditions:
  • Frequent mobility during projects
  • Frequent bending, reaching, twisting during projects
  • Continuous lifting and/or moving up to 10 lbs during projects
  • Continuous coordination and manipulation of objects during projects
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs

Hourly Rates:
Hair Stylist: $75 per head

Exact pay will be based on factors including but not limited to relevant education qualifications, certifications, experience level, geographic location, and business and organizational needs.
