Freelance Graphic Designer Jobs

Associate will be responsible for the development of communications projects specific to the Retail Kitchen and Bath channel. This individual will be self-motivated with strong creative and production skills. They will be required to take projects through completion with a concentrated effort in design, layout, and typography.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role specifically supports the North American retail sales channel of the Kitchen and Bath business division. Working under the direction of senior creative team members and with account and project managers, this individual will be focused on deliverables specific to North American retail customers (i.e. The Home Depot, Lowe’s, Costco, Sam’s Club, etc). The type of projects and deliverables for the retail channel include literature, packaging, advertisements, 2D and 3D merchandising displays, environmental graphics, signage, point-of-sale materials, sales and training collateral materials, video, and digital content. This role will execute a high volume of hybrid creative projects, requiring a mix of graphic design thinking and execution skills combined with high level, thorough production skills.

- Strong design and production skills required for taking projects through design, refinement, and completion.

- Work collaboratively with on-site and remote team members, domestically and globally.

- Maintain awareness of current trends in advertising, design, technology, print and digital media.

- Work closely with Art Directors, Copywriters and Account Service team to ensure a clear understanding of strategic and creative direction of each project.

- Work closely with Print Management team and vendors to ensure project will produce accurately.

- Ensure consistency and accuracy of overall brand communications through close attention to detail.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

BFA/BA in Graphic Design/Commercial Art and 3-5 years Graphic Design experience in an advertising agency, design studio or corporate in-house department.

- Must have strong design and production ability.

- Must be proficient in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Abobe Illustrator, and Mac OS. 3D design and render software, as well as digital capabilities a plus.

- Must be a team player and work well with a diverse group of individuals.

- Must have good written and verbal communication skills.

- Must pay close attention to detail.

- Must be able to meet deadlines.

- Must be able to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Not required, but outstanding extras:

Experience with Adobe Dimension or other 3D rendering and digital illustration proficiencies.
