Job Description

We are looking to hire a Sales Assistant to play an integral role in the development and management of Free People brand. The role requires a smart, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented team player who takes ownership over projects and ensures successful delivery. The candidate must exhibit excellent organizational skills, attention to details and have a solutions-oriented approach. Responsibilities also include support selling the collection, managing the critical path, and maintaining/building relationships with accounts.

We are looking for a candidate who has wholesale showroom experience, a natural eye for fashion, and a good awareness of Free People as a brand.

Responsibilities

  • Calendar management - ensuring all showroom / Zoom appointments and internal meetings are booked.
  • Assist in responding to all account inquiries, to ensure they are aligned with global brand direction.
  • Monitor key item availability and support with open order reports.
  • Partner with Creative Brand Manager to ensure all accounts have appropriate online styling and assets.
  • Understanding and ability to work within all facets of the order process including merchandising, operations, logistics, credit, and production.
  • Support Account Executive in weekly review of reorder opportunities based on selling reports analysis and feedback from accounts.
  • Review websites for style/photo/division accuracy.
  • Responsible for updating all shared logs (account lists, returns log, market log etc).
  • Market support (creating order forms/linesheets, noting selections during appointment).
  • Research new markets and prospect stores to continue the growth of wholesale business.
  • Entering orders and checking POs for order entry accuracy.
  • Support organizing, attending, and selling at tradeshows to buyers and clients.
  • Approving and reviewing all orders submitted on B2B for all specialty stores, agents, and distributors.
  • Responsible for daily order maintenance, and review of all open orders in system.
  • Assisting the Account Executive in servicing accounts.
  • Work with visual merchandising team to develop selling guides for key accounts.
  • Completing weekly sell through reports and bestsellers for major accounts.
  • Check for PO fulfillment post allocation and track order status in Bluecherry.
  • Checking, communicating, and actioning all product changes in accordance to merchandising logs.
  • Liaise with the Operations and Warehouse teams to ensure the customer has all required documents for bookings for shipments.
  • Providing accounts all required product information including, ecommerce copy and country of origin.

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of the entire sales process; including client prospecting, taking orders, order maintenance, shipping, and follow-up.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • A love and understanding of the Free People brand, customer and product.
  • 1-2 years previous experience within sales, customer service or administration preferred.
  • Ability to maintain and build relationships with clients and buyers.
  • Proficient in office systems such as MS Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook
  • Great attention to detail and strong follow up skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

The wage range for this role is $47,000 - $55,000. Wages are based on several factors, including, but not limited to experience, education, geographic location, etc.
