JobSummary: We are looking for a Fraud Analyst to join our Customer Service team be a part of creating positive experiences for our customers. Whether its verifying an order or assisting a customer with an unauthorized charge, you will be a B&N “Super hero” helping to keep both our customers and company safe from fraudulent activity. This is a Clifton, NJ position which is located above our store! You get a bird’s eye view on the store and actively engage with other team members.
In this role, you will monitor and manually review orders and accounts with a focus on mitigating fraud. You will provide analytical expertise relating to analyzing fraud trends, conduct investigative research into fraud behavior, and losses to determine the nature of fraud patterns. Leverage appropriate resources to support the identification and initiation of fraud or abuse investigations, and ensure relevant information is appropriately collected, analyzed, and documented.
- Handle fraud investigations to identify suspicious trends and resolve escalated issues from cross functional teams taking into consideration risk versus customer impact.
- Analytical review of data and/or documentation for fraud activities.
- Analyze cardholder disputed transactions and provide subject matter expertise in payments risk.
- Apply fact-finding methods to investigate potentially fraudulent activity.
- Ability to work well under pressure while consistently meeting deadlines.
- Strong verbal communications & writing skills.
- Customer service experience with call center experience preferred.
- Demonstrate strong prioritization and analytical skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and organize multiple tasks concurrently while meeting required deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a customer-driven, fast-paced environment.
