Tekberry is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Forklift Operator to work on-site with our client, a top-tier global manufacturer and marketer of consumer and professional products. A Forklift Driver, or Forklift Operator is responsible for operating forklifts and moving goods around warehouses and other industrial sites. Their duties include using forklifts to unload deliveries, stacking boxes for storage, and moving wooden pallets around the warehouse. As a W2 employee you will have access to health benefits.
Responsibilities

• Using industrial plastic wraps and wooden pallets to safely stack and package goods for transport
• Ensure quality by unloading correct product in correct locations in warehouse
• Ensuring that forklift driving areas are free from spills or obstructions
• Moving goods from storage areas to loading areas for transport
• Unloading deliveries and safely relocating the goods to their designated storage areas
• Regularly checking forklift equipment for faults or damages
• Maintain good housekeeping by cleaning work area
• Consolidating partial pallets for incoming good
• Minor troubleshooting of palletizer/wrapper operations
• Keeping up to date on health and safety requirements and forklift operating procedures
• Ensure quality by loading correct product into trailers
• Staging of finished goods in the warehouse
• Maneuvering forklifts safely in busy industrial environment
• Safely stacking and unstacking large quantities of goods onto shelves or pallets

Qualifications

• Must be forklift certified and have valid forklift license
• Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.
• Double wide experience preferred
• 1 year experience loading trucks preferred
• Ability to drive a sit-down, battery operated fork truck
• 1 year experience driving a fork truck in a distribution/manufacturing facility preferred
