Forklift Operator Jobs

We are seeking high performing and motivated person for a Forklift Operator position at our plywood located in Wiggins, MS. This position is in our Dryer department and your main responsibilities will be to move wet veneer across the mill and then move dry veneer to the next department. Hours will be from approximately 6pm – 6am. This department operates seven (7) days a week. You will work a rotating shift with alternate weeknights and weekends off.

Required Experience:

Our forklifts are Hyster propane fuel type forklifts. Our forklifts are similar in size to the ones normally operated in a warehouse environment, prior and recent experience driving a forklift in a production/industrial environment is required. Preference will be given to those who have recent experience moving/stacking heavy, bulky items. High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.

• Have a proven job history for staying at most jobs for a long period of time. You understand that you will never grow and expand your skills unless you commit to a company and are in the position to take on additional responsibility and training.

• We expect you to THINK. If it looks dangerous, stop and let us talk about it. If you see a better way of doing something, tell us about it.

• Are not afraid of working in rain, cold or hot weather. Production continues even when the weather is not that great. Thus, forklift operators are loading and unloading in the rain and cold/hot weather.

• Starting pay rate of $17.77/hr
• Employee benefits including medical, dental, vision, cancer, life, LTD, and 401k w/ company match available first of the month following completion of one month of continuous full time employment. You will also have one week of vacation after six (6) months of employment!
• $1/hr night shift differential is paid for hours worked between 5pm – 5a.
