Forensic Pathologist Jobs

INTRODUCTION

NAAG FORENSIC PC is an independent private forensic pathology practice. We provide "first" and "second" forensic pathology services for medical examiners and coroners, attorneys (prosecution, defense, civil, family, administrative), law enforcement officers, governmental administrative bodies, and next-of-kin.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare autopsy reports in a timely fashion according to corporate standard operating procedures
• Testify in court as requested
• Perform 250 to a maximum of 300 autopsy equivalents (4E=1A) per calendar year
• Interface directly with law enforcement officers, Coroners, attorneys, family members and others as necessary

REQUIREMENTS

• Excellent written and interpersonal communications skills
• MD or DO from accredited medical school
• Completed a recognized fellowship in forensic pathology with board certification by examination from the ABP (you may be board eligible in forensic pathology so long as you plan to write and pass the FP board exam within two years of commencing employment)
• Must be able to legally work in the USA
• Ability to successfully complete a Background Investigation (including criminal background check and drug/alcohol screening)
• Must have an unrestricted license to practice medicine/osteopathy in the State of California by the time you start work
• Have the capacity to work in highly stressful and demanding environments and situations, and, with class, handle time periods and people that may be very challenging
• Board certification from the ABP or Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in AP, or AP/CP
