Job Description

One of the most difficult times for a building owner is when they suddenly find damage from a storm or other causes. Valor Forensic Engineering Services, LLC, was founded to assist in determining the how and why related to building damage and also to assist in determining what can be done to repair the identified damage to allow the property owner(s) to get back to a sense of normal. To accomplish these tasks, we perform independent and objective evaluations of various types of building damage including damage from weather, floods, fires, vehicle impacts, construction defects, etc.

Valor Forensic Engineering Services is continually identifying engineers and technicians that bring knowledge and experience to strengthen and reinforce our team thereby continually improving the service we provide to our clients. Our work is primarily focused on determining the extent of damage/failures to various types of buildings/building components. At the present time, we are looking to develop additional Associate Forensic Engineers (EI/EIT), and Staff Forensic Engineers (P.E.) At this time, our work is focused on damage to foundations, building shells, roofing, framing, and other building components due to fires, wind and hail damage, tornadoes, vehicle impacts, and other cause of damage.

Our work commonly occurs in the field, on roofs, with much of our time spent away from the desk. Valor Forensic Engineering Servies is continuing to utilize technology solutions including unmanned aerial systems (drones), and other systems to continually improve the quality of work we provide to our clients.

Job Duties Include:

  • Legal Testimony
  • Site Evaluations
  • Writing Technical Reports

Skills/Qualifications:

  • P.E. License Required (preferred in Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Missouri and/or Kansas)
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • B.S. Civil / Geotechnical / Structural Engineering
  • Must have the ability to climb ladders, squat, and crawl in tight spaces.
  • Would prefer a more hands-on approach to engineering.
  • Must be able to carry and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Have a great attitude and a desire to learn
  • Detail Oriented
  • Must be willing to accept new and different challenges on a daily basis.
  • Must have a high level of analytical skills. Work requires continual attention to detail with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • NCEES Record/ Model Law Designation Preferred.
  • Must be willing to work outside at least 35% of the time.

Compensation:

  • $45,000 - $65,000 (Associate Forensic Engineer (EI/EIT): Depending on Experience and Qualifications).
  • $60,000 - $85,000 (Staff Forensic Engineer (P.E.): Depending on Experience and Qualifications).
