Job Description
THE POSITION

The Department of Human Services, Danville State Hospital is seeking a full-time Food Service Worker to be a part of our Dietary Team! If you enjoy working with food and people, we've got the job for you!


DESCRIPTION OF WORK

You will prepare and serve food items as well as perform cleaning duties in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and in compliance with applicable health and sanitation regulations. Duties include cleaning and sanitizing equipment, utensils, dishes, pots, pans, work surfaces, and other kitchen items; preparing trays, measuring portions, serving food, and transporting trays, carts and nourishment; and using equipment such as mixers, dicers, slicers, knives, and grinders.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Rotating days off, weekends and Holidays as assigned.
  • You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.
  • Hours of work: 10:30am - 7:00pm, Sunday - Saturday, 30 minute lunch.
  • FREE PARKING!
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
  • Full-time employment.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • No previous experience and training required.
Additional Requirements:
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
