Food Service Associate, UHS Binghamton General Hospital

United Health Services is seeking a Food Service Associate to join our BGH Food And Nutrition department at UHS Binghamton General Hospital in Binghamton, NY. This position is benefits eligible.

Hours per week:
12

Salary range:
$16.35 - $21.49 per hour, depending on experience.

Food Service Associate / Overview

Assists in all areas in the department which may include resident food services, or Patient, Retail and Catering services.

Work Environment
  • Heavy traffic flow in close quarters
  • Exposure to sharp items, grinding and slicing equipment.
  • Usually inside well ventilated and lighted areas.
  • Kitchen noise
  • Extreme heat and cold for periods of time
  • Standing/walking for long periods of time
  • Pushing and pulling equipment in and out of department
  • PPE includes cutting glove, apron, goggles, safety shoes, and chemical resistant gloves
  • Occasional wet floors
  • Requires bending, stooping, reaching up and lifting up to 40lbs.
  • Delivery to outlaying buildings as needed.
