Financial Services Client is looking for a Fixed Income ESG Integration Analyst
Duration – 3 Months
Location – Los Angeles, CA 90025
Max Pay - $73.10
Description:
Investors around the world are increasingly focused on environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues as part of their investment philosophy, and our client believes the integration of ESG perspectives into their fundamental research enhances their investment approach. The strategy is to incorporate ESG information and research tools into the investment process, consistently communicate to clients our ESG perspectives, and to enable delivery of ESG as a product.
The Fixed Income ESG Integration Analyst will work closely with the Fixed Income ESG Integration Lead to deepen ESG integration within client's fixed income investment process. The ideal candidate will research and monitor ESG issues, prepare presentation materials on ESG topics, and assist with the project management of ESG initiatives.
Responsibilities:
• Research & Analysis
- Find and summarize internal and external research on fixed income ESG topics
- Monitor news reports and ESG-specific datasets for key ESG issues and indicators impacting fixed income asset classes
- Analyze ESG characteristics of fixed income portfolio holdings (e.g., percent of fund with certain exposures)
• Project & Stakeholder Management
- Assist with the project management of ESG initiatives by creating timelines/checklists, following up with internal stakeholders for project updates, and helping communicate project status updates to ESG leadership
- Assist with preparing meeting materials (e.g., briefing notes, PowerPoints) which illustrate examples of ESG integration within fixed income processes and keep key stakeholders informed of progress
- Document internal team processes
Skills/qualifications:
- Proficient in Excel, able to combine and analyze large data sets
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written), organized, attentive to detail
- College degree with Economics or Finance coursework preferred
- Ability to understand and summarize research reports and news articles
- Knowledge of Fixed Income as an asset class with a particular focus on corporates, sovereigns, and municipal bonds
- Quick learner who can work independently
Top candidates for this position would have:
- Understanding of ESG data, tools, and methodologies.
- Project management experience, creating project timelines and overseeing projects to completion.
- Experience working with fixed income data sources such as Bloomberg, and portfolio analysis tools such as Aladdin.
- 4+ years of experience in a related role
