What you will do for Siemens Smart Infrastructure: This Sr. Level inspector position performs inspection, testing and maintenance on fire sprinkler systems and other water-based systems in accordance with all national and local standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Highly skilled in the service, repair, and installation of wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge fire sprinkler systems, standpipes, backflow preventers, fire hydrants, underground, and fire pumps.
  • Assigns and delegates tasks to sprinkler fitters and/or apprentices to make the best use of personnel available
  • Coordinate and manage all assigned projects with management.
  • Knowledge of NFPA 13, 20, 24, and 14 and state requirements for Installation
  • Manage labor cost, material, and project deadlines
  • Project plan review and scope with management
  • Understanding of complex construction blueprints and specifications used in Installation.
  • Complete required documentation including repair recommendations
  • Assist management with quoting repairs and tenant improvements
  • Follow and maintain highly structured schedules
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all work performed.
  • Complete service ticket documentation before leaving customer site
  • Provide instructions to customer personnel regarding proper operations and assist with training
  • Work overtime when needed
  • Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures
  • Maintain vehicle stock, tools, and equipment.
  • Follow corporate policies related to vehicle use and care.
  • On-call rotation
  • Train fitters and apprentices on proper installation technique

Qualification Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 Years of experience
  • Certified Training
  • High school diploma or state-recognized GED
  • Ability to read and understand design and construction documents
  • Must be able to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet
  • Must be able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted
  • Ability to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to our customers
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Must have good customer-facing and customer service skills
  • Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States
  • Must possess a valid driver's license with limited violations

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience estimating service repairs and tenant improvements
  • Experience in the layout of fire sprinkler systems
  • Experience with servicing and install of all types of fixed extinguishing systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • This is a Bargaining Unit Position
