Financial Controller (Sox Exp. Rqd.) - Paid Relo

We are motivated and searching for our newly created Financial Controller that has SOX experience so you can help us launch our IPO!! This hybrid Controller is located at our Divisional office in the West/NW Atlanta, GA area, will report directly to the Regional Controller in TX, and will be collaborating with the leadership team and ownership as their Strategic Financial Business Partner so you help take this manufacturing company public.

• This is a Hybrid opportunity, but you must live/relocate within driving distance of the office located in the West/NW suburb of greater Atlanta, GA

Responsibilities of the Financial Controller:

• Support the formal annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes for the Division. Drive close collaboration with FP&A and operational accounting teams
• Manage and drive inventory accountability with Supply Chain cross-functional interaction; responsible for understanding drivers of material variances (PPV) and managing inventory write-offs
• Prepare quarterly financial analysis to be presented to the Board of Directors and Ownership and assist the corporate finance team in the preparation of the MDA and financial statements
• Review financial and operational results to drive the efficient monthly and quarterly closing process.
• Use KPIs and/or dashboards to facilitate management decisions
• Responsible for managing Big 4 Audits and Corporate inquiries across FP&A and Operational Accounting teams
• Review and approve capital funding requests submitted by manufacturing sites to ensure the appropriate use of funds and adequate return on investment
• Work with Auditors in performing financial audits and implementing audit recommendations
• Heavy SOX and Reporting requirements to help build up to the launch of the IPO
• Review month-end reconciliation and account closing processes for the Corporate office

Qualifications for the Financial Controller:

• Ability to work well under pressure and with tight deadlines while maintaining strong accuracy essential
• Bachelor’s degree required; CPA designation is a plus BUT NOT A DEAL BREAKER
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills essential
• Experience working with a ERP system is a plus
• SOX Experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to make recommendations and implement changes required
• 3+ years’ experience in a financial managerial role in manufacturing or other industries
• Strong multitasking, planning, prioritizing, and executing skills are a must
