Job Description
POSITION: Financial Analyst (entry-level/early career)
LOCATION: Duluth, GA
Responsibilities:
The Financial Analyst is responsible for gathering and organizing financials into accessible reports, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, month end management reporting, and trend analysis for stores. This role will report to the FP&A Manager and work closely with all teams across the organization.
  • Compile data to develop company’s budgets/forecasts
  • Assist in the budget consolidation process
  • Work with all entities to ensure data accuracy and integrity
  • Produce and analyze reports on a daily/weekly/monthly basis
  • Presentations:
  • Prepare P&L review and analysis focused on departments/stores/markets and key vendors
  • Support major components of annual budget/forecast processes
  • Budgeting/Forecasting:
  • Liaise with dealerships and corporate departments to assist in developing budget assumptions
  • Prepare monthly P&L trends by store/market
  • Support executive and regional teams
  • Perform ad hoc analysis
  • Monthly Reporting and Analysis:
  • Assist with preparation of materials for officer, investor, and board of directors' presentations
Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with retail finance and/or the automotive industry is a plus
  • Ability to work extra hours occasionally during peak periods
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel & PowerPoint
  • Work in team environment supporting overall objectives of the FP&A group
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • 0-2 years of work experience with an emphasis on financial analysis
  • Attention to details and ability to handle several projects simultaneously; Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
  • Desire to learn the industry and grow professionally
  • Understanding of financial statements including balance sheets, budgets, forecasts, profit and loss statements; Experience in budget preparation and variance reporting is a plus
  • Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, math or engineering
